ARTIST CITY PROPERTIES ARTIST RESIDENCY PROGRAM
We are attempting to create affordable live-work space in Camp Washington for creatives. To do this, we’re starting to transition our traditional, market rate units into spaces reserved for artists at a subsidized rate of $600/month not including utilities for a large one bedroom unit with studio. Utilities typically range from $75-200 depending on use (trash and water are included).
Residents are expected to be active artists who are interested in contributing to the neighborhood and community in some way through their talents. We ask that you share below your idea of how you would contribute to the community.
The building is directly above The Welcome Project, adjacent to Wave Pool’s main building and wood shop, and nearby The Well, CampSite Sculpture Park, the American Sign Museum, the Swing House, and other creative forces in the neighborhood. Camp Washington as a residential neighborhood is a resilient place taking on many of the city’s burdens being disinvested, bifurcated, a food desert, etc. Artist City Properties hopes in a small way make improvements guided by and not displacing residents.
The lease will be for a maximum of 12 months, with the option to renew pending a portfolio review and annual discussion.
If you are interested, please apply by filling out the form below. We will begin reviewing applications immediately.
